In this multi-day course, students will explore figure drawing and practicing proportion. Students will grow their skill with observational sketching, and applying realism to style.

Description

Class Experience

Do you want to master drawing the human figure? In this four week class, meeting Mondays and Tuesdays, draw with me as I teach how to find the basic landmarks of proportions, and how to see the human figure as a series of shapes that can be broken down. I will draw along with you, to show by example, as well as be able to see the photo we are working from. Learners will be able to ask questions and show their work as they go to get specific feedback as we are working.

Figure drawing emphasis at university, figure drawing for animation and illustration, 20+ years of drawing, 5+ years of teaching.

2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
