Description
Class Experience
Students will learn multi-media art techniques, including painting, three dimensional work, and collage. In addition students will learn fundamental art skills such as shadowing, perspective, and use of line and color. Students will also learn biographical facts about influential artists from varying art periods.
Students will not have homework, but will have the option to continue work on their art pieces on their own time.
Students will need access to art supplies, including construction paper, pencil, old magazines or newspaper ads, glue sticks, paint brushes, inexpensive watercolor paints (a dollar store version is fine), acrylic paint (any colors), crayons, and markers. One lesson will require flour and salt in order to create salt dough for sculpting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
As art is subjective, no assessment will be provided, but I am happy to provide feedback to parents when requested.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
