Class Experience

In this self paced class, learners will learn to draw realistic animals in their own time. we will learn Basic principles of realistic animal drawing, Anatomy and proportions of animals, Shading and texturing techniques, Capturing expressions and gestures of animals.

The learners are expected to upload their drawings at end of the week and I will provide feedback and the necessary revisions for the drawing. learners are encouraged to provide feedback, comments about the class and any questions about the techniques.

Every class we will start by watching the reference image. We will observe where the light source is and dictate how we will apply the shading. we will use simple shapes like circles, squares and triangles to understand the composition of the animal. After drawing the animal using fundamental techniques we will apply shading using different techniques such as hatching, crosshatching etc. At the end of the class you will have a beautiful realistic drawing of an animal.

Communication will be via Outschool chat where the learner uploads the artwork and i will provide feedback to the learner.
