The way I teach this skill is very easy to learn and your child will be prepared for success in Algebra. I will show students how to do an exercise on the whiteboard. They will learn how to simplify radicals by actually doing example exercises during class. For example, students will learn how to simplify an expression like this: SQRT(50)=5*SQRT(2). I will use the factor tree method followed by my own "twist". I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed...
