This course will cover the following: First Week 1) Graphing Quadratic Functions + Activities 2) Solving Quadratic Equations + Activities Second Week 3) Solving Quadratic Equations by Completing the Square + Activities 4) Solving Quadratic Equations by using the Quadratic Formula + Transformation of Quadratic Graphs In this 2-week online course, students will be encountered to the above topics in 4 sessions. In the first week, students will learn to graph quadratic functions. Then they will be able to find and interpret the maximum and minimum values of quadratic functions. After this, they will learn how to write quadratic equations in standard form. Then, they will learn how to solve quadratic equations by factoring. In the second week, learners will learn how to solve equations by using completing the square method. Then, students will be introduced to the concept of solving quadratic equations by using the quadratic formula. Later , they will learn how to use the discriminant to determine the number and type of roots of a quadratic equation. Finally, they will learn about transformations of quadratic graphs. I will use Outschool platform and Google Slides to facilitate and clarify all the above concepts and how to graph quadratic functions and solve quadratic equations by using different methods. At the beginning of each session, I am going to explain and go over the concepts and explore with the students the Quadratic Functions and Relations by solving many examples. The interactions between students and the teacher will be encouraged by giving each student the opportunity to try solving exercises and drills individually or in groups. Solutions of the given exercises will be answered on the spot by using the chat button or the Zoom white board. These sessions will be inspiring, challenging, motivating, and encouraging to the students.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use different methods to graph and solve quadratic equations.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have over twenty-five years of experience in the field of Education. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics; I have a current Michigan Teaching Certificate (6-12). I have been successful at accommodating diverse students’ needs by using different methods of teaching, and I am able to facilitate a highly interactive class atmosphere. I was trained and practiced how to assist students virtually by using Distance Learning/On-Line Resources. I taught many fields in Mathematics such as Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra1, Algebra2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics by using different techniques and strategies in order to assist my students be successful in the next levels. I believe that the most important aspect to teaching math is to communicate the beauty and the simplicity of this subject and how it is related to our real life. I believe that every student has the potential to understand and succeed in Math. I love teaching and Math is my passion. I am married, and I have three amazing daughters and two wonderful grand-kids. My hobbies are reading, listening to music, gardening, baking, and traveling.
I believe that Mathematics is fun and I want my students to have fun while they are engaged in a positive atmosphere sessions.
