All artists are welcome in this art club. Here you will learn new art techniques and build confidence, build our portfolio, and express your art while creating exciting drawings and paintings of fun animals, people, plants, and places.

Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their understanding of color mixing, space, form, composition, art vocabulary, observational drawing, artistic problem solving, functionality of texture and different materials, different techniques in watercolor, acrylic, India ink, oil pastel, chalk pastel, pencil, printmaking, collage and the list goes on. They will also gain larger awareness of their surrounding because of their increase ability to see things as they are. They will have a supportive and nurturing space to practice their creativity and storytelling abilities. Emotionally, they will gain confidence and more understanding of their own unique expression in the world. Develop sketchbook habits. Putting ideas together and brainstorm their interest and self-reflection. Learn to overcome artist blocks. Elaborate their own unique artworks. This course will harvest independence and responsibility. They will step into finding their own voice in art.
B.F.A in Art B.A. in Philosophy Past classroom Art teacher educator Lifetime Experience Studying and working as an artist Certified ESL teacher 8-year experience teaching art for children all ages in physical and online private schools.
Students may take as long as they need to finish their artwork that we started in class. They are also encouraged to create sketches outside of class projects, that may last from 15-30 minutes. So, they may need a total time of 30 minutes to 1 hour or more, depending on each student abilities and manner of creating art. Some students are more detail oriented and may need more time with their artwork.
1 file available upon enrollmentAny kind of the following: Acrylic paint, Watercolor pan Bristol Vellum paper and watercolor paper (8 1/2" x 11" or bigger.) Pencil, eraser and brushes, and mixed medium paper sketchbook. You can purchase all of that in any craft store like Michaels, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Joann fabric and crafts, amazon and/or dickblick.com.
***Bonus***Students/Parents are encouraged to send me pictures of students' artworks and receive feedback. They will also receive assessment through out class and in the end, on presentation time.
