Class Experience

Students will work on improving specific reading skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies. My goal is to help students develop proficient reading skills all while having fun.
I love teaching and making learning fun! I am a former intensive Reading Middle School Teacher and private school principal with 8+ years of teaching experience. Currently certified in early childhood education, with experience teaching children who have special needs IEP and 504's, ESE, struggling readers, and (ELL) English Language Learners to read.
We may occasionally use a Notebook, crayons, markers, play doh, or separate device such as a tablet.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Informal assessments through games and trivia questionnaires.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to have a way to access and Virtual Bingo Boards. They may use smartphones/iPads or a separate browser tab if using a desktop computer.

*Kahoot and Bingo Board links will be provided in class.*
