In this class, learners will be part of a Master Builder's Club where tweens and teen LEGO enthusiasts come together to build each week. Each class, learners will participate in a themed LEGO build (ex. space, skyscrapers, machines, robots, mythical, under sea, etc.). Learners will not know what the theme will be until they arrive in class (I love a good surprise!), but will be able to build on the theme with whatever LEGOs they have available (no specific pieces will ever be required). Then, we will build together (the teacher included!) and chat about what we are building, any cool parts or building techniques we are including, and all things LEGO. After we are done building, each learner will have an opportunity to share their build and discuss how they built it. If time permits, learners can even show other LEGO builds they have built outside of class!

Supply List
LEGO pieces available for building with. No specific sets or pieces are required, but having a fair amount of them is suggested so learners can be creative with their builds!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

My goal for my students is that they not only learn new concepts, but they also build a passion for exploring, experimenting, questioning, and learning! I live in NJ with my husband and two sons. In my spare time I enjoy playing board games, reading, hiking, geocaching, and scuba diving. I also love animals, nature, being creative, doing science experiments, and drawing!
