🌟Welcome to Master Art Fundamentals🌟

A weekly class that will guide students through the elements and principles of art.

In this engaging class, students will learn the fundamentals of how art is made. This class is perfect for any art lover. No previous class is required to join. Previous drawing experience does help but is not needed. Any student at any skill level is encouraged to join.

This is an ongoing class, but students can join at any time.

🌟What you can expect:

Each week we will go through a guided lesson on a specific element or principle. The beginning of class will always start by explaining a different fundamental. I will provide definitions and examples using a slideshow. After students have an understanding we will finish class by completing an art project based on the fundamentals they learned that day. By the end of the class, I will have shown them all the elements and/ or principles of art. This class provides learners knowledge to put them ahead of their other art peers. With this understanding, they are allowed to express their creativity with a strong foundation.

I will always take ample time to stop and take breaks. It is important that I help make sure every student is on the same page and no one is falling behind. I will also encourage students to engage in critical thinking. Questions I might ask might be, Why do you think the piece is colored this way? Do you think the shape helps portray an emotion, why or why not? It’s important for students to not only know how to draw but why they are drawing certain features. My goal as an educator is to make sure that students not only follow along, but truly understand what they are crafting.

During class, I will be using my IPad to display slides and show my face. This provides students with a better viewing experience. I will also have a top down camera on my desk that I will use to display the weekly project. Students can follow along with either a digital drawing device or traditional drawing materials. Please note, this is not a digital art intro class, I will not be teaching how to use a digital program. However, if students have difficulty or questions about their materials, I encourage them to ask.
