Marvel Universe School of Drama

This class follows the same format as my popular Wizarding School of Drama class. 

Do you love Marvel movies? Are you interested in acting? Would you like to learn more about theatre arts and acting? Then this might be the class for you! Join us as we explore what it takes to make these fabulous super-hero characters come to life!

In this live weekly class, students will be introduced to theatre arts through the world of Marvel. Using various creative drama techniques to build confidence and trust, stimulate imagination, and role-play, together we will embody the many characters of the Marvel Universe films. From scene study to character development, we will explore acting as the famous super-hero characters from films like Avengers, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman, and more.

Students are required to have a basic knowledge of Marvel films and be familiar with the characters and their stories. Students are expected to fully participate with cameras and microphones on, and be willing to partner up with classmates for in-class scene study and rehearsals. 

Each class meeting will consist of theatre warm-ups, improvisation games, individual & group practice of acting techniques, and partnering for scene readings/rehearsals. 

Homework for the class will consist of reading scenes/monologues with some memorization.
