Class Experience

This class will include an open discussion in which students can share their likes/dislikes, theories, and personal opinions about the latest Marvel movie & TV series. We will also talk about easter eggs and references from the movie/episode, and the latest Marvel news.

In the first 15 minutes, we will have a discussion in which students can share their initial thoughts and feelings about the latest MCU/Marvel news.
We will then have 30 minutes where we will go over the episode, break down major scenes, identify key themes and references to other MCU projects, and talk about the story development.
In the last 10 minutes, we will discuss potential theories and ideas of how this Marvel movie/TV series pushes the MCU forward.

Each student will have time throughout the class to share their own thoughts, ideas, and analysis.

This ongoing format will allow students to drop in and out at any time. Students do not have to attend previous classes in order to join a later class date. The following is the schedule with the Marvel TV series and movies that we will be discussing:

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from San Jose State University
I have over five years of experience working with children—as a substitute teacher for K-12 students, working as an instructional assistant in Special Education, and providing behavioral therapy for children with autism. My wife and I have also been foster parents for six children and I believe that every child has great potential of being a success through their passions. I teach social club classes for Marvel and video game fans.

I have a Bachelor's in Sociology with a minor in Radio, Television, and Film, which included studying film history and writing. I have hands-on experience with filming videos and analyzing film elements (such as plot, setting, and structure). I have been a Marvel fan for over 15 years and enjoy having conversations and researching each Marvel project. In addition to Marvel, I love everything about Disney, from Pixar and Disney Plus to Disneyland. I also have a podcast that I love co-hosting with my wife!

As we study, discuss, and analyze the world of entertainment, I want to help and support everyone that comes into my class. I cannot wait to see y'all soon!
