Class Experience

Are you ready to get fit and have a great workout? Or are you are looking to burn that extra energy? Either way, this is the class for you! This class will introduce students to the joys of an intense workout that has its roots in martial arts while helping them develop strength, coordination, stamina and flexibility. 

Each week, students will engage in an exciting aerobic style session that uses elements of tae kwon do and other martial arts for a well-rounded workout.

**NOTE** This is a fitness class not a traditional martial arts class.

Stamina
Strength training
Balance/Coordination
Breathing techniques
Flexibility

Teaching Style:
My teaching style is energetic and fun, but I do take the time to explain so students have a solid understanding of how to properly execute each technique.

Learning Goals

Students will learn proper warmup and stretching as well as effective beathing methods. Students will gain a stronger understanding of how to use martial arts techniques to augment their fitness routine.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students must wear comfortable clothes suitable for exercise (ideally workout clothes). An area large enough for the student to perform stretches/kicking and moving around without any tripping hazards or breakable objects nearby will also be needed.

Hi, my name is Master Mark and martial arts is my passion! 
I am a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and am certified by Kukkiwon (Tae Kwon Do governing body) in Korea. I have also trained in several other disciplines including Brazilian Jiujitsu, Kali stick fighting and Krav Maga. Outside of martial arts, I am an MBA and project manager. I also enjoy camping, watersports and museums.
I have been teaching for over 20 years and love helping children develop strong minds and bodies. Aside from gaining Tae Kwon Do skills, my classes are designed to help kids improve in the following areas:

*Discipline
*Respect
