For this one hour workshop, I will show the children my collection of marionettes that were hand made by my mother, I perform with these marionettes in Libraries and other public venues. Then I will give them a short backstage tour of my little theater. I will show them how I use the marionettes and answer questions. After the tour I will instruct the children in making their own puppy marionette with toilet paper rolls, and some craft items. I hope that your children will find this class fun and educational.

Materials for Puppy Marionette -2 toilet paper tubes ( painted with acrylic before class starts ) - 5 Bendy straws -2 Wiggle eyes - 2 12 inch pipe cleaners -twine -small office dot stickers -2 popsicle sticks -paint brush -hole punch -ruler -glue -scissors - pencil Scotch tape

Hello!
My name is Anne Scinto. My husband and I started Marionantics, a traveling marionette theater when we were in college. Each of my marionettes were hand made by my mother Gail Dreyer. Now 25 years and three children later we have preformed at children’s parties, libraries, and festivals. I also bring them into my preschool classes where they have live interaction with my students. My programs are designed to be educational, interactive and fun.
