Hi! My name is Mrs. Fiori and I am so excited to be part of the Outschool team! I am a certified teacher from New Jersey. My degrees are B.A. Education of Young Children and M.S Education with a focus in Literacy. I went to UNCW for undergrad and UNE for Graduate school. I am a certified teacher in both North Carolina and New Jersey. My certifications include Preschool-3rd grade, K-6, and Special Education K-12. I currently teach in a NJ school district and work with a variety of children with special needs. Throughout my career I have taught behavioral classrooms, Autism classroom, and Multiple Disabilities classrooms. I really enjoy working with these populations! I also tutor students of varying ages in Reading and Math. A few years ago, I took a personal interest in building my mindful practice. From there, I took courses through MindfulSchools to train on how to teach mindfulness to children. As I love teaching academics, I have a true passion for helping children find their calm, and help ground themselves. My goal is always to help the children I work with to the best of my ability, in the areas they need it the most, while providing engaging, (and hopefully fun!) activities. 
Since graduating with my Masters, I have completed 30+ credits in graduate level courses focused on growth mindset, working with students with behavioral concerns, students dealing with anxiety and/or trauma, and unmotivated students. 

I also volunteer for the company Autism on the Seas in my free time! I love to travel, love my Black Lab/Great Pyrenees, Jay Michael, and I recently became a mom of a precious baby boy! I look forward to working with you and your children!!
