Class Experience

The main goals of this course are to socialize and share insights on how to become a stronger competitor in Mario Kart while having fun with other gamers. After a quick personal check-in with everyone, we will make sure that everyone is able to get into the online tournament. If anybody has issues getting in, I will try my best to help solve any issues while the rest of the group races on. If we are unable to sort out any technical issues, a full refund will be issued for that session. These tournaments are not competitive and are simply a means for us to get to play together online and share our passion for Mario Kart. Participating in these races require each student to have a Nintendo Switch with a paid Nintendo Online service and the game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch.
I specialize in leading conversations and will be focusing a lot of my attention on building community and helping students self guide their conversations. The one topic that is brought up at every Defense Against the Blue Shell is strategies on how to become a better racer. Learners will engage in conversations where they describe their personal strategies and experiences to help their fellow racers improve. Often times, we are even able to show each other examples in the middle of races!

DISCLAIMERS: As a result of playing in a tournament tournament together, learners will be able to friend request each other. I always encourage learners to ask their parent or guardian for permission before sending or accepting a friend request.
