In this ongoing class we will play a Mario memory math game focusing on a different set of division facts each week. We will start with our 1's and proceed all the way through our 12's focusing on one set each week. We will be discussing the basic ideas of division and, because this is an intro class, we will be focusing on whole number division. A solid understanding of multiplication is recommended but I will also be providing a multiplication handout that will help with the division...
Students will learn/practice/review basic division facts while also flexing their memory muscles. They will learn how to encourage each other and how to participate in team based problem solving. They will also be able to share to the group about their favorite characters and/or games enhancing their group speaking skills.
