In this four day camp, we will draw a different Marine Reptile of the Mesozoic each day, starting with a pencil sketch which we will then finalize with pen, and color with the medium of your choice. While we draw, we will discuss the features of each species and why they may have been the way they were. Day one - we will draw and discuss the ferocious mosasaurus. Day two - we will draw and discuss the whale-like shastasaurus. Day three - we will draw and discuss the long-necked...
Students will learn multi-step drawing techniques similar to those used by professionals. We will learn a bit about each extinct marine reptile as well, such as what it ate and what its probable habitat and range were.
Pencil, eraser, paper, coloring medium (colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc.)
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
