In this class, we will meet once a week to learn about different marine creatures! This is an ongoing semester course for students ages 10-13. (I do have another course for younger students) We will learn about their habitat, what they eat, predators, size, and interesting facts. We will even try to draw each animal. Week of Oct 6 -Swordfish Week of Oct 13 - Whales Week of Oct 27-Flounders Week of Nov 3-Sharks Week of Nov 10-Colossal Squid ...
Next Generation Standard: Construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, and/ or behavior Standards: Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate an understanding of key details in a text/ lesson Make observations of animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats

No formal assessment is given but parents will receive correspondence after class related to the facts their learner was able to recall/ write/ summarize.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
