Who is the underwater master of camouflage? The obvious answer is the octopus - but through this class, we will discover a whole range of marine animals that could challenge for the title! Angel sharks, pygmy seahorses, butterflyfish, frogfish and decorator crabs all have different and amazing ways to use camouflage to their advantage. We'll explore the science of why and how marine animals camouflage through an interactive and engaging class. Our class has a presentation packed with incredible images, videos, pop quizzes and polls and we provide an optional worksheet to complete during and after the class.

Students will learn the different types of camouflage used by marine creatures and explore how specific species do this.
