This one-time class will explore sea turtles. We will learn the 7 species of sea turtles and look at three of them in-depth, the green, hawksbill and leatherback sea turtles. We will learn about their anatomy and how they've adapted to life in the ocean. We'll also explore the life-cycle of sea turtles using our own videos of nesting turtles and emerging hatchlings. Sea turtles face a number of threats and we will learn these, alongside looking at what we can do as individuals to help sea turtles (and other marine life)  - wherever we live.
I will be sharing a presentation packed with high-quality photos and videos - many of which have been taken during our work in the Indian Ocean. Class interaction is embedded in my teaching style, which is informal, yet designed to create a solid scientific foundation to the knowledge acquired.
There is no prior knowledge required for this class
