Description

Class Experience

To learn facts about squid and sharks
To put together models of squid and sharks
As part of my BS in Biology, I studied Marine Biology at University of Hawaii.

I have lead students through various topical studies based on their interests, always science based in nature. This has allowed me to combine my biology expertise and research skills to help guide their curiosity on the various topics we have studied in one-on-one and small group classes.

I have taught High School Biology lab local co-op, multiple biology lab sections each year. Labs involved extensive microscope work and dissection of various specimens, in addition to traditional biology labs. I hope to help your student grow in confidence and lab experience, as I help guide their studies. You can learn a lot from books, but there is no substitute for the experience of real hand's on learning and seeing the wonders of Biology. The reason I love specifically Biology, is that it seems so simple, however when you look closer either microscopic or macroscopic the complexity is just awesome.
If students are just curious they can research further outside of class, optional.
PRINT PDFs and Cut out (Optional color black line pdfs)
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Please have students print and cut out pieces prior to class.
