In this marine biology class we will look at an overview of squid and sharks, as well as unique anatomy of each through putting together 3D models of each in class. As part of my BS in Biology, I studied Marine Biology at University of Hawaii. I have lead students through various topical studies based on their interests, always science based in nature. This has allowed me to combine my biology expertise and research skills to help guide their curiosity on the various topics we have studied in one-on-one and small group classes. I have taught High School Biology lab local co-op, multiple biology lab sections each year. Labs involved extensive microscope work and dissection of various specimens, in addition to traditional biology labs. I hope to help your student grow in confidence and lab experience, as I help guide their studies. You can learn a lot from books, but there is no substitute for the experience of real hand's on learning and seeing the wonders of Biology. The reason I love specifically Biology, is that it seems so simple, however when you look closer either microscopic or macroscopic the complexity is just awesome.
