Marine Biology - Sharks of the Shallow! A Weekly Camp Exploring & Tracking Sharks (8-Weeks)
In this 8-day camp, we will meet 1x/week, for 8-weeks, to discover known and unique sharks that swim in our vast oceans. Across the seas we go, researching the Tiger Shark to Hammerheads, and more. Each class we'll discuss, interact, write, learn the science and history of this animal, and pick a personal shark to "live" track weekly.

I began teaching with Outschool in 2020. My background consists of traveling the world, of course, which is my favorite! I have been trained and guided by top professionals in various industries. I have two years into completing my degree in Social Science. Being that I have traveled the world, I respect each of the cultures and am not biased. I just love all history and want to share it! I have a background of teaching dance, fitness, tutoring, and homeschool classes combined for over 20-years, but my love is in teaching children! Yes, I am a professional dancer consisting of working for Carnival Cruise Lines, dancing with singers like Toby Keith, LoCash Cowboys, and Cake. As you can see I love the arts and music, and add that with my travels, that makes me a World Traveling Fanatic!
Each class we will finish the class with the next class' shark 'selection' of a different shark species. Students will need to research and gather information about that shark, and be able to share their findings! Students will have a second worksheet to use with Ocearch.org where they select a shark to track, follow its locations, and track on paper!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
www.Ocearch.org 2 worksheets to be printed... #1 Shark Showdown Worksheet to have before each class #2 Shark tracker worksheet (print just one) to have for the entire 8-classes (Thanks to...Blue World TV, Ocearch, Ocean Ramsey, Don't Fear the Fin!)
