In this 8-week FLEX course, students will explore the biology of marine fish. Two LIVE meetups will be scheduled for learners to ask questions and share their learning of marine biology and marine science with one another. #ACADEMIC

Intermediate Level
Together, learners will explore the foundational concepts of ichthyology through weekly, multi-media lessons hosted through Canva. Lesson material will include reading, videos, and interactive games. Lessons will be posted Monday morning 7 a.m. EST. Additionally, each week, learners will be presented with a short demonstration or simulation that corresponds with the weekly lesson objectives. Upon completion of this class learners will be able to: -Describe the classification of marine fish -Identify and describe key internal and external fish anatomy -Identify the adaptive behaviors of marine fish -Identify and describe the feeding behavior -Explain the impact of human activity on marine fish biology -Explain how fish population effects marine habitats
It's my passion to create unique, engaging learning experiences. I strive to create learner-centered, integrated lessons that relate content to students’ lives. I believe that my educational background in the field of marine science, professional teaching degree and extensive experiencing developing/delivering educational programs for all ages, will generate a class experience that fosters learners' appreciation for our oceans and environment.

📝For learners choosing to have their work assessed, the grading rubric is as follows: Weekly Discussion: 5 pts/wk = 40 pts. Weekly Quiz: 10 pts/wk = 80 pts.
