There is something about that sparkling blue water and all its grandiosity that just inspires questions. Perhaps you have seen videos or had the joy of being immersed in the colorful world of coral reefs. Like a busy city under the sea, are you ready to take a closer look? In this guided research course, students will have the opportunity to get to coral reef ecosystems. Ecosystems include all the living organisms (biotic) interacting with their environment (abiotic). Coral reefs are located throughout the world, students will be able to choose which reef interests them most for their study. Day 1 students will: - complete research on the basics of a general coral reef ecosystem based on a national geographic video clip - complete general research on several different coral reef species - be guided through selecting one real world coral reef ecosystem and completing specific research points on that example * This could be used as a case study or as a general research project. Day 2 students will: - share ecosystem research
