Description
Class Experience
At the end of each class period learners will be able to: -identify one example of the concept(s) explored during class. -explain one way the concept(s) explored during class relate to human society.
I strive to create learner-centered, integrated lessons that relate content to students’ lives. I believe that my educational background in the field of marine science, professional teaching degree and extensive experiencing developing/delivering educational programs for all ages, will generate a class experience that fosters learners' appreciation for our oceans and environment. In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Google Jamboard
- Padlet
- Google Earth
Learners will be informally assessed through discussion and chat session. Learners will be given an class "exit ticket" to assess student's achievement.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
