Hey kids, ever wonder how people get up close to Great Whites? Where exactly it's done in the world? Well, come join me and learn about an adventure where I have personally explored the dark deep waters of South Africa's Cape Horn where Great Whites circle the "Gauntlet" searching for prey. I am so excited to share, educate, and expand children's knowledge of cage diving with these gentle giants. We will understand where in the world these giants live, why certain locations are...
Course topics include: Understanding of where Great Whites roam on earth Which locations are best to cage dive Why these locations are better than others for cage diving A brief understanding of beautiful South Africa and its thriving bountiful ocean ecosystem The Big Marine 5 How to cage dive and tricks used Safety Measures (cold ocean temperatures, keeping limbs inside the cage, scuba equipment used) Facts of Sharks and some other animals involved When to cage dive in the year
I began teaching on Outschool back in 2020. My background consists of traveling the world, which is my favorite! I have been trained and guided by top professionals in various industries. I have two years into completing my degree in Social Science. Being that I have traveled so much, I respect each of the cultures and am not biased. I just love all history and want to share it! I have a background of teaching dance, fitness, tutoring, and homeschool classes combined for over 20-years, but my love is in teaching children! Yes, I am a professional dancer consisting of working for Carnival Cruise Lines, dancing with singers like Toby Keith, LoCash Cowboys, and Cake. As you can see I love the arts and music, and add that with my travels, which makes me a World Traveling Fanatic!
Homework Offered
After the class, your child will have a great understanding of sharks hunting for seals, the cage diving boats, South Africa, and more. For fun, have your child draw a shark in action doing something they learned and loved. Whether it be hunting, getting close to a cage diver, trying to catch a seal (or fake seal), breaching, or just a beautiful picture of a shark. Thank you for taking my class!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Even though this course teaches about sharks, there is nothing scary or graphic in the material taught. My true focus and message is to show the natural beauty of these gentle creatures. Cage diving is the only known way to view Great Whites safely in the ocean.
Special thanks to Viator Travels for their video!
