Description
Class Experience
I'm a homeschool mom with a degree in Marine Biology and I've been volunteering at sea turtle hospitals for over 7 years. I've given lessons about sea animals to all age groups in many informal learning environments, including aquariums, sea turtle education centers, and homeschool groups.
Learners may choose to work on their dioramas outside of class time.
-Shoebox or other small box -Scissors -Yarn/string -Glue -Tape Ocean animals for diorama (use whichever option works best for your learner) -Small ocean animal figures -Printable animals -Hand drawn animals -Magazine cut-outs -Clay made with clay -Use your imagination! Supplies for decorating diorama (these are just ideas and learners can use whatever supplies they have) -Markers/crayons/colored pencils -Construction paper -Tissue paper -Glitter -Paint -Clay -Pipe cleaners -Cotton balls -Colored pom-poms -Toothpicks -Shells -Sand -Use your imagination!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Scissors will be used during this class.
