I am offering this project-based learning opportunity because I believe that they're highly effective due to the way they incorporate multiple aspects of learning. It's always great for kids to take the skills they're learning and have the opportunity to apply them in a fun, exciting, real-world scenario. I have used several project-based learning activities in my own teaching and am always so pleased to see the students engaged with what they're learning!
Students will be expected to submit a picture and complete a handout with questions about their maps by the time designated in class. Don't worry parents! I'll post it in the classroom! This just allows the students a chance to showcase their work.
Handouts will be sent out prior to the start of class. Please ensure that students have all handouts in front of them when class begins. Students should also have pencils, scissors, glue and crayons or markers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
