Welcome! In this fun ongoing class, learners will explore the world through the art of coloring and drawing maps. The class aims to provide a hands-on approach for younger students to learn about different countries, exploring the fascinating world of political geography. Each class will begin with an ice-breaker or a game to introduce the country of the week. Students will also have opportunities to create their own maps (mystery map challenges) which will help them develop important skills such as spatial awareness, fine motor coordination, and a deeper understanding of geography. Learners have the option to use the worksheet provided for their coloring activity or start map drawing from scratch. Weekly Schedule: Week of 10/06/2024 - India Week of 10/13/2024 - Cameroon Week of 10/20/2024 - Panama Week of 10/27/2024 - Mystery map Week of 11/03/2024 - Brazil I look forward to seeing your learner in class!

Parental Guidance
If your learner chooses to complete the optional activity in class, please be available to supervise their use of the scissors.
We may also use blooket for games when we have time. Blooket is a fun, gamified learning platform that enables students to review lessons by answering questions in a quiz-style format. Students do not need an account or additional device to play the game. I will send a direct link to the game where the student clicks and joins the game directly.
