Class Experience

All learners must first take my "No Experience Map & Compass 101: Find Your Way When Your Phone Dies" class prior to taking this class. The skills taught in this class build on the previous class and are more intermediate.

At the beginning of this class, students will be asked to share the steps and skills they remember from the first Map & Compass class. I will provide feedback and clarify any areas that the students are struggling to understand. I will then demonstrate the skill of triangulation through the use of a video and then apply the information in the video to the map and compass I will have in the class. Students will then choose 3 items in their room and draw symbols for these three items on a piece of paper and also include the arrow for magnetic north. All the learners will then triangulate their location on their hand made map and triangulate themselves using a compass.

Learners are required to first take my "No Experience Map & Compass 101: Find Your Way When Your Phone Dies" class before taking this one.
