Description

Class Experience

Students will be presented with an interactive PowerPoint that will educate students regarding map functionalities and key symbols.

1. Students will learn how to use a compass rose to identify cardinal directions as well as navigate intermediate directions. (5-7 minutes)

2. Students will be presented with a small map and have students infer information regarding the map. They will that a  map is always smaller than the area it represents. (5-7 minutes)

3.Students will be taught map...

In this class, students will be learning the functionalities of a  map. Students will learn to recognize symbols, interpret directionality, find an ordinance, and learn to identify compass directions.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
