There are many reasons to learn and use good manners. They show kindness, respect and maturity. This class goes beyond please and thank you. We will discuss holding open doors for someone, using the correct language instead of "talking back" and we will learn how to engage with others in a kind and considerate manner. I teach in a patient and understanding manner. I encourage my students to participate in a respectful and kind way so they are practicing their manners as the class goes on. Active participation helps them to retain the information better. This is taught from an American perspective. Learners will not only be learning from videos posted, but we will have interactive games such as: role playing “what would you say if someone opened the door for you?” Learners are free to post questions and answers! Students will be expected to participate in discussions with me and other students. I believe we learn more together! All transfer requests must be made 48 hours before the beginning of class. Hello, my name is Angela. I teach classes to all ages and abilities.
I love teaching in a low pressure, fun atmosphere. I believe the most rewarding aspect of learning is the gained ability to connect with others.
I have a BA in Child and Family Service, I am a certified librarian, with TESOL and TEFOL certifications, 25 years of teaching experience with varied ages and abilities. My specialty is helping children with anger/anxiety issues, along with neurodivergent students who may need a little extra support.
My passion is helping others fulfill their learning goals. I am a lifelong learner and love to pass that passion along to my students. My days begin with teaching children of all abilities. When I am not working, I am usually on my farm playing with my pigs, ducks and chickens. I can't forget my two dogs too!
As a mom of two, I know the importance of individualized lessons. Every child is different and it is my goal to teach how they learn.
