Class Experience

In this one-time class, students are introduced to multiplication through arrays with M&M's candies. As a class, we will see examples of arrays, match arrays to the correct multiplication sentence, and practice our skills. In this class we will be focusing on the multiplication of numbers 1-4 to the numbers 8-9. 

The teacher will use ppt lessons for demonstrations and the interactive game. Students should have a piece of paper and a pen to practice and follow along. They can also use the...

How to recognize an array. How to use an array to make a multiplication math problem and solve it using arrays.

Please have a piece of paper and and pen or pencil ready for class. We will use it to write our multiplication facts.  The print outs are also very helpful for the students to follow along.

Learners self-assess thru the interactive game with the teacher!  The teacher will also provide a M&M's themed practice sheet that can be printed and completed at home.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
