Dear learners, Welcome to our playful, beginner-friendly Mandarin class! In this ongoing meeting, we will sing, speak, move, and create as they learn Mandarin Chinese through fun, interactive themes like animals, colours, and food. Each class helps your child speak simple Mandarin words and phrases with confidence. We use movement, songs, props, and drawing to make Mandarin fun and memorable. By the end of each session, your child will have something to show or say in Mandarin—perfect for sharing with family at home! No prior knowledge required—just curiosity and a smile! 🧠 Lesson Structure: 👋 Warm-Up - Learn and practice greetings in Mandarin - Review from previous class (if applicable) 🗣️ New Vocabulary - Introduce 4–6 themed words in Chinese characters + Pinyin + English - Practice pronunciation using tones - Introduce 1–2 short phrases or sentence structures to integrate new vocabulary 🎲 Interactive Speaking Games 🎨 Mini Character Project or Show & Tell Craft 🎤 Share & Review (3 minutes) ✨ What Kids Take Away Each Class: - New words + sentences in Mandarin - Printable or onscreen mini flashcards for review - A boost in confidence speaking Chinese! I grew up in a Mandarin-speaking household in Canada and have always deeply valued multilingualism. I have a lifelong love for language learning. today I am fluent in Mandarin, French, and English. To stay connected to my Mandarin roots, I continued to study Chinese poetry and practice calligraphy. I aim to help young learners discover the joy of speaking a new language and discover other cultures!
