This is Chinese with games and music level 2 E class. In this class, students will be learning Chinese words through music and games. Students will be able to sing some Chinese songs, write some Chinese characters, and make sentences on these topics. We will continue to build up vocabulary words and materials from level 2 series classes. Please note we will NOT be playing Minecraft in class, but rather this class has a Minecraft theme to aid in learning Chinese In this Mandarin Chinese, your child will learn the following 1. At the store 2. At the store and shopping 3. animals 1 4. animals 2 5. Sentence and Phrase in Chinese 6. Chinese story 7. Project and review 8. Presentation and assessment
Learning Goals
Students will learn vocabulary words and sentence structures and apply them in their conversations. They will also learn how to pronounce the words and learn the meaning of the words. Students will engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions in Chinese.

Hello and Nihao, I'm Rita Plouffe, known to my students as Ping laoshi. Bringing a wealth of experience as a Chinese educator, I have a proven track record across all levels of education. My expertise encompasses translation, effective communication, and the art of teaching Chinese as a second language, backed by a Master's degree in teaching from Brandeis University.
My teaching philosophy revolves around student-centered learning, immersing students in the language through the rich tapestry of Chinese culture, and exploring facets such as art, history, and food. I am eager to impart my unique methods, which involve making the learning experience enjoyable through activities, play, and contextual association.
Over the past decade, I have contributed to various educational institutions, instructing students from kindergarten to adults. As a certified teacher, I have valuable experience in a Chinese immersion school. Throughout my career, I have successfully taught Chinese I, II, III, IV, and AP, with many students excelling in their HSK and AP exams.
I believe in making learning exciting and enjoyable for my students, by offering a variety of classes. Currently, I provide Chinese with games and music classes, 1-on-1 tutoring, private 1:2 tutoring, and a flexible schedule class.
In my small group classes, I personally design the curriculum and create materials, including worksheets and games. Through interactive activities, your child will learn Chinese in a dynamic and enjoyable environment. With small class sizes, students have ample opportunities to share and practice with me and their peers. I'm excited to welcome you to my class!
