Bachelor's Degree in English from Soochow University
As a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Taiwan, I bring both language fluency and cultural insights to my teaching. Growing up immersed in Mandarin, I naturally understand its rhythm, tone, and everyday usage.
With experience teaching Mandarin as a second language to young learners and professionals from diverse backgrounds, I recognize the common challenges and pain points non-native speakers face. Whether it's mastering pronunciation, understanding sentence structure, or feeling confident in conversation, I tailor my teaching to support each learner’s unique journey. I am experienced in teaching both Traditional and Simplified Chinese, adapting lessons to suit students’ needs and goals.
Beyond my lived experience, I hold a Diploma in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), certified by Training Qualifications UK (certificate #200110), and I am a certified member of the International Association for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (certificate #4141549). My professional training has equipped me with effective, research-based teaching strategies to help students of all ages succeed.
Over the past three years, I have taught Mandarin to students aged 5 to 50 in various settings, including language schools, corporate training, agencies, and after-school programs. My interactive, real-life language practice approach focuses on helping students build confidence in speaking and using Mandarin Chinese.
I am passionate about creating a supportive, engaging, and immersive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing Mandarin and developing their skills naturally.
