This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.
- Students will learn and gain academic skills that will prepare them to enter kindergarten at or above grade level. Students will learn about people, cultures, languages and some geography of the world that they live in.
Mrs. Haywood - I have been studying Mandarin Chinese on my own for ten years and I have also completed post secondary credits in Mandarin Chinese at North Central University. I have been teaching basic Chinese reading and writing skills for 10 years. I taught Chinese to children in grades Pre-K through grade 8 at a private school that I founded for seven years. This is my third year teaching on Outschool. I regularly meet with Chinese tutors to increase my skills and knowledge in this language.
Homework

Frequency: includedDetails: Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during lessons and routines. Students will be able to ask and answer questions on their own. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.
It will be helpful if students can access their writing tools on zoom which can be found on the tool bar under "annotate" or "view options". Teacher can work around this if using the tool bar is not an option for the student. In this case, student should have a paper and writing utensil handy so that they can participate in writing or drawing activities.
Teacher will post worksheets each week to be printed off by parents and completed by students.
