▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⭐Course Overview⭐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Welcome to our unique and exciting kindergarten preparation course! In this class, we will be exploring the seven continents of the world and discovering new languages and cultures, all while gaining the basic skills necessary for kindergarten. Our weekly schedule will be themed around a different continent each week. Our class is designed to be interactive and engaging for students of all levels and backgrounds. We will cover a wide range of topics including days of the week, months of the year, reciting the date, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, number order, letter names, letter sounds, rhyming, sight words, and reading and writing words. Our teacher will use slides and interactive activities to ensure that students can clearly see and understand the information. Each class will begin with a "music and movement" song to get students involved and active. We will learn various greetings from around the world and have calendar time, in which we will recite the days of the week and months of the year. We will also learn and review pictures and vocabulary words for the letters of the week. Our class will include interactive activities that allow students to write on the computer screen or on paper. We will also count and practice numbers with manipulatives. At the end of each class, we will sing a goodbye song and learn and give salutations in multiple languages. 📅 Are you looking for a class that meets 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x per week? Send us a message about a class frequency change. 💬 We can also accommodate learners and families wanting full immersion vs. bilingual classes. Send us a message to learn more! ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🌍Target Student🌍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ We welcome students of all levels and backgrounds, and no prior experience or knowledge is required. Mrs. Haywood - I have been studying Mandarin Chinese on my own for ten years and I have also completed post secondary credits in Mandarin Chinese at North Central University. I have been teaching basic Chinese reading and writing skills for 10 years. I taught Chinese to children in grades Pre-K through grade 8 at a private school that I founded for seven years. This is my third year teaching on Outschool. I regularly meet with Chinese tutors to increase my skills and knowledge in this language.
