I will review after each bunch of conversation and help students with any trouble spots I notice.Class Experience
We will spend the entirety of our time with students practicing words and phrases they have learned in their Chinese language classes/schools. I will be a guide and provide help with pronunciation/tones and grammar. Class time will be structured with each student getting to choose a topic for at most 10 minutes of each class. If students are having trouble finding topics I will have a list of common topics for us to talk about. This class is structured as an ongoing class so students are encouraged to come and go as needed without having to commit to anything long term. Each class: 5-8 minutes - Introductions in Chinese 5-10 minutes - Student 1's chosen topic of conversation 2 minutes - review any problems I heard and fix them 10 minutes - Students talk more and have a review of the whole period.
Learning Goals
Students will get practical experience using their speaking and listening skills for Mandarin Chinese.
