This class is meant to give younger students an opportunity to continue learning how to converse in Mandarin Chinese.
Class experience
Students will learn the basic of Chinese pronunciation and grammar as well as have ample opportunities to practice what they are learning on a daily basis. Students will use everyday situations from the Lexicarry book to learn how to talk about real life things in preparation for speaking Chinese to real Chinese people. Class will be structured in the following way: 5 minutes - Review 5 minutes - Learn new Vocab/Structures 5 minutes - Practice 5 minutes - Work on the song Topics...
1. Students will learn how to ask and answer "What are you doing" and "What is your friend's name" as well as some follow-up questions 2. Students will learn how to sing a Chinese song. 3. Students will continue to practice pinyin and tones. 4. Students will learn 4 parts of Chinese culture that will hopefully delight them
I lived in China for 4 years and my wife is Chinese. I have an HSK4 level of Chinese and have been tutoring/teaching Chinese since 2014.
Whiteboards will be posted after most classes. Students can print those out or parents/kids can take notes in class.

The standard plan is to learn the song called "wo ai ni" I love you, which is a song about a Chinese wife, her British husband, and their cultural confusion but continuing to work through the problems and love each other. If that is not appropriate for your learner please message me and we can always talk about using a different song for the class.
