Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.
Students will learn and establish a daily routine for talking about the calendar in Chinese. This will include basic math and literacy concepts.
Fnu J. - My name is Jisi, I’m a Chinese teacher with 30 years of teaching experiences. My teaching style is interactive and engaging, as I believe that students learn best when they are immersed in the language. I create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating in their learning journey.
My expertise lies in Chinese language and culture. I strive to make each lesson meaningful and relevant, incorporating authentic materials and cultural insights to deepen students' understanding of the language.

Yuna G. - Nice to meet you! My name is Yuna and I’m proud to be your bilingual tutor in Chinese (Mandarin) and English! I was born and raised in China, received my bachelor’s degree in Tampa, Florida. I have a true passion for working with young learners! I strive to make learning language easy and fun!

Mrs. Haywood - I have been studying Mandarin Chinese on my own for ten years and I have also completed post secondary credits in Mandarin Chinese at North Central University. I have been teaching basic Chinese reading and writing skills for 10 years. I taught Chinese to children in grades Pre-K through grade 8 at a private school. I have been teaching on Outschool for a few years. I regularly meet with Chinese tutors to increase my skills and knowledge in this language.
No homework will be assigned for this class. We only encourage students and families to welcome and include the Chinese language by making connections in their daily lives as often as possible while watching, listening to and participating in the world around them.
Teacher will provide worksheets upon request.
Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during the calendar routine. Students will be able to ask and answer questions in the target language. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
