Class Experience

We will explore the following topics:

• How do we describe our emotions at present during this pandemic?
• Why is it important to discuss and verbalize our thoughts and emotions?
• How can we cope?
• Let’s work together and manage our emotions in a positive way toward a positive outcome

I’m blessed with having experience in counseling and helping countless children, teens, and young adults. I have also volunteered at a local county hospital to counsel teens that need to work through emotional issues and behavioral problems; cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy were successfully applied in these contexts.
I believe that our children and teens are bright individuals who, with the right emotional skills and guidance, can overcome anything, including their worries and concerns. This class will be an interactive and fun class for students to learn how to manage their emotions!
The students will need to have 2 sheets of paper and a pencil or a pen for a brief few minutes of writing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This is an open, interactive class in which we will be discussing and sharing our concerns and emotions through the current time of pandemic. The class will also be directed toward learning skills and using strategies to manage our emotions.
