This camp will give teens the confidence to manage their money, plus will help them to understand important topics such as credit scores, investing, how online banking works, what installment loans are and interest, and the pitfalls of credit cards. This class is taught in English.
I want every student to come out of the camp feeling like they understand better the importance of saving and budgeting and have the basic foundations of how they can make their money work in their favor by making sound financial decisions.
I have been teaching financial literacy classes to students and adults for 20 years.
I will provide enrichment activities for learners to do outside of class, but they are not required.
Come to class with the handouts from class, a writing utensil, a calculator, and all of the questions you have about MONEY!
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
