Welcome to “Mammals of Australia (Part 2)!” If your student loved the class "Mammals of Australia (Part 1)," or just loves mammals, then I am sure that they will enjoy this class too! This class will dive into even more interesting mammals that are found in Australia, plus learn some geographical facts about Australia. Get ready for a deep dive into Australia’s most interesting mammals. To begin, we will briefly review what classifies a mammal and geographical information about China to make sure all students have a solid foundation. We will be reviewing 8 amazing animals that can be found in Australia. The animals that will be introduced are: Wallaby, Dugong, Tasmanian Devil, Dingo, Australian Fur Seal, Flying Fox, Pygmy Possum, and Bottlenose Dolphin. We will discuss fun facts, habitats, endangered vs. extinct, food, and other fun facts! There will be time for student discussion, reactions, and questions. I will be assessing each student’s learning progress throughout the class by discussion, questioning, and activity progress. Class will be structured, but flexible to adjust to each student’s needs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or requests. This class is an overview/introductory class to allow your student to be introduced to the wildlife of Australia. My hope is that your student will walk away ready to do their own research and see how many more interesting animals that they can find.

Hello and welcome!
I'm Kristin, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to meet your learner(s)! I am a certified teacher with a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. With years of experience teaching both in the classroom and online, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my teaching.
In addition to teaching, I'm a business owner and have a background as a horseback riding instructor, which adds a unique perspective to my approach. My teaching philosophy centers around not just imparting knowledge, but inspiring a love of learning. I believe that when learners develop a genuine curiosity, they are motivated to grow, succeed, and eventually inspire others.
I create a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and supportive of all learners, regardless of their abilities. I'm experienced in tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and learning preferences, ensuring that every student feels confident and engaged. My teaching covers a broad range of subjects, with a particular focus on literature, life skills, nature, history, and geography.
Outside of the classroom, I have a variety of personal passions: horseback riding (both English and Western styles), reading, playing guitar, dancing, dog training, learning new languages, and exploring the world through travel. I love incorporating students' passions into their learning journey and am always open to hearing feedback, ideas, and preferences to make the learning experience even more meaningful.
What is your learner’s passion? I can’t wait to help them discover new interests and grow in their education. I look forward to meeting your learner(s) soon!
