Hello! My name is Mrs. Chelsie T! I am so excited to welcome you into my classroom. I am a certified Early Childhood teacher that specializes in ages birth-12. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Business Administration. I have been a passionate teacher for the past 10 years in the classroom teaching all subjects. In 2021, I was even selected as a top five excellent educator in my school district and was in the running for district teacher of the year. I truly love my job and it brings me so much joy!

I specialize in teaching all facets of literacy including decoding/encoding (reading/writing), fluency, comprehension, and phonological awareness. I can help you pinpoint the exact skills your child needs to progress in their reading journey using diagnostics in one on one classes. I have been to various teacher trainings that have helped me become the teacher I am today. These include: Responsive Classroom training, LETRS training, Literacy First Training, Math Solutions training, and many more. My practice in teaching reading is informed by the Science Of Reading research that meets the needs of all learners.

In my classroom, I also love teaching math, writing, science, STEM, and social/emotional skills! Beyond the classroom, I have an additional 10 years of experience of caring for and teaching children in various settings. I believe building relationships with students is key and I can't wait to meet many of your children and build that strong bond with them! I am very passionate about the growth mindset and the power of YET! I believe every person can and will achieve their dreams with hard work, determination, the right mindset, and the right people in their corner. I want to be that person in your child's corner! Please let me know if I can be of service to your family. (:
