Welcome to Making Inferences: 1:1 Private Tutoring to Build Critical Thinking! In this class, students will be introduced to making inferences through interactive discussions! A child engaging in an inferences activity learns to think critically and analyze information beyond what is explicitly stated. They develop improved reading comprehension by understanding implied meanings, enhance their attention to detail, and sharpen their problem-solving skills through logical reasoning. Such activities also foster better communication as children articulate their thought processes, and promote empathy by encouraging them to consider others' perspectives. Additionally, these exercises boost memory retention by linking prior knowledge to new information, stimulate curiosity, and refine decision-making abilities! ⭐️ First: The student will learn the importance of using context clues to support WHY the inference we are making could be true! ⭐️ Next: The teacher will help guide the student through making an inference with a provided picture and prompts. ⭐️ Then: The student will make their own inferences with a given picture and, with the teacher`s assistance if necessary, create a paragraph to explain why they came to the conclusions they made based on the given picture. ⭐️ Last: The student will be given the opportunity to create their own picture by drawing on the screen or on a paper at home. When this is complete, the teacher will have to use context clues and critical thinking skills to make an inference what she thinks is happening. The student will be encouraged to add commentary on how accurate the teacher`s inference was based on their own interpretation! Teacher in the class photo is Ms. Allison! 🌼We look forward to seeing you in class!🌼
