Have you ever wanted to create your own fantasy character, or draw one from a book? In this class, we're going over the basics of how to draw a manga style face with fantasy elements. We'll go over how to to draw different eyes, mouths, as well as different ears and elements to help our character stand out. We're going to make a reference sheets that we can use outside of class to draw our own characters, and in class together, we will work as a group to create a character we will draw together using our "roll a character" game. No prior experience in manga drawing is needed.
Learning Goals
Students will understand the basic components of making a stylized character.

Supply List
The student will need a pencil and at least 3 sheets of paper for this class. Its is recommended to have a good eraser for this as well.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

The classes I teach are art and literature based. We will focus on telling stories with our art, and make many exciting projects related to art and art history.
I have an A.A. in Early Childhood and a B.A. in Art Education. I was a public school teacher in the Art room for 3 year in my home state, and I currently have taught online for the past year.
My philosophy of Education is that art is accessible to anyone. There is no specific right or wrong way to make art, but I'm here to help provide those basics to those willing to learn.
