Class Experience

The purpose of this class is to help learners create fun and exciting cards and poems for Father's Day. We will discuss basic elements of poetry and some simple drawing techniques. This will be a great opportunity for learners to collaborate and share ideas with their peers and have their work edited and proofread by a teacher. I will serve more as a facilitator than teacher. I'll guide their conversations and ideas as they engage and interact with each other. Learners will need their own materials (crayons, colored pencils, markers, paper, etc).
Learning Goals
Students will build upon their basic understanding of poetry and will develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for giving handwritten cards.

    Hi!
I'm Ms. Sharon, and I love helping students have "lightbulb moments"! 💡
I've taught and tutored Math for over 20 years and I've helped countless students finally "get it!"
I also love to write. It's exciting to learn and explore new words. I'm a single mom of two girls who fight over makeup and chores! I love jazz, museums, and books. I also enjoy bowling, crocheting, and going to the beach. I'm looking forward to meeting you and teaching & learning new things.
