In this class we will learn to write, draw and publish a comic book. On the first day we will go over the basics of writing a script for your comic, the layout options, design choices and more. We will also have a basic story to draw for class 2. In class 2 we will draw and finish a basic comic. I will show you how to publish your comic in print and on kindle. This is a basic class that will introduce your child to writing skills, layout skills, digital drawing options and online...
1. How to write a comic script 2. How to layout a 25 page comic book 3. How to use drawing tools and different software options to make and publish comics.
Students will need to take script and draw / produce a comic. Art skills not a priority but a plus. This is a concepts class they can expand upon.
I will supply blank comics and resources. Students should have access to a computer and printer.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Blank comic pages - provided
- Other tools optional
Their willingness to participate in the overall process. This is a fun and creative class.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Your child should like comics, writing and drawing. If they can't draw its okay, i want them to just have fun.
