Class Experience

Students will increase their understanding of ways to use crayons. At the same time, they will also gain a stronger understanding of painting without a brush.
I have a BS in Art Education and taught High School, Middle School, and Elementary School Art for many years. I am currently certified in Art PreK-12 in Art in the state of Pennsylvania. I also homeschooled my son for 12 years.
- 5 X 7 (or slightly larger will be fine) Canvas Board or Canvas - Black, Grey, White, Purple, Blue, Maroon, Pink, Turquoise Crayons (1-2 of each color) Crayola or Rose Art work best- paper peeled before class - Pliers- 1 pair (must be pliers- if you are unsure if what you have will work, please contact me) - Hair dryer or heat gun Optional: - Glitter - Glitter Crayons - Small bottle white acrylic paint - Paintbrush
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The students will be informally assessed throughout the class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Since we will be melting crayons, the wax will be hot and could burn if touched.
