In this one time class, students will learn how to make a chicken pot pie

Class experience

Students will further develop listening skills through following directions.
Students will further their knowledge of cooking terminology and basic cooking skills. 
I am a certified teacher with 15+ years of teaching in the public, private, homeschool, university, online or private tutoring sector. I have a dynamic teaching style and animated approach to teaching and learning.  I've taken morning meeting and writers notebook workshops and have years of classroom experience implementing this in my classroom and tutoring sessions. I am a mental health workshop facilitator who provides resiliency skills to kids through games, role-playing, crafts and Socratic group discussions. My Socratic discussion style helps all kids look beyond the surface and critically think for themselves. 
Recipe which will be in the classroom to be printed out.
Ingredients: Pie crust (pre-made or bought), 2 skinless boneless chicken breasts, 2 stalks of celery, 3 fresh carrots, can of corn & peas, butter, half an onion, half n half (cream), 2 cups chicken broth, 1/2 cup of flour salt & pepper, 
Students will need a stove, a saucepan, 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need to use a knife, cutting board, a stovetop and oven. Students will either need help turning the stovetop on or be able to do it themselves. Students will need to have all ingredients on the counter and ready to go when class begins.
